Customer Comments:
Check out what some of our inspection clients are saying about Scott Home Inspection!
We have never had a more professional, thorough, detail-oriented, friendly, experienced, knowledgeable, and just plain AWESOME home inspection. Seriously, the home we wanted to purchase had some issues/concerns for us. Scott Home Inspection put all of our concerns at ease. The inspector gave us the information needed to make an informed and educated decision. I highly recommend their services for any home purchase.
A HUGE thank you to Scott Home Inspection for excellent service! To start, Scott Home Inspection was able to get my pre-purchase inspection quickly scheduled within a couple of business days of my phone call. The home inspector, Luke, was prompt and extremely knowledgeable. Luke was very thorough and took the time to explain what he was examining (and why) and throughout the process he answered all of my questions. Luke was able to identify numerous issues that I would not have otherwise noticed myself prior to my final home walkthrough thus saving me potentially thousands of dollars. I was amazed that the detailed inspection report was delivered to my email the same day as the inspection! My pre-purchase inspection was worth every cent and I highly recommend Scott Home Inspection to perform a pre-purchase inspection to all new home buyers.
Dave with Scott Home Inspection came out to conduct a home inspection for a house we are considering for purchase. His inspection was thorough, professional, and informative. His knowledge of a wide variety of areas, his attention to detail, and his enthusiasm for his profession is very impressive. He represented your company in a professional manner. We have much confidence in his report and in your company. Purchasing a home is a tremendous financial obligation and an emotional journey. Scott Home Inspection provides a service allowing all parties to feel more confident in their decisions.
We were very impressed with Scott Home Inspection from the moment we found their website using a Google search. We were able to review their services, pricing and schedule our home inspection online with just a few clicks of the mouse. We did not expect to get the home inspection report that same afternoon especially with all the detailed information and photos provided. I will certainly tell others about our experience with your company and will recommend you to all my friends. Thanks again!
I was really impressed with the level of service from Scott Home Inspection. The website was informative and easy to use, the appointment set up was a breeze, and the inspection itself was thorough and very professional. The inspector was really a pleasure to work with. He explained everything in detail and took the time to answer any and all questions we had. I will definitely be recommending Scott Home Inspection and using the company again in the future!!
We just completed a home inspection with Dave Spielman – actually it’s the third one we’ve done with Dave – and we wanted to share with you that we think he is great. He does a wonderful job explaining his findings. He also helps put the information into perspective, so that you can better prioritize any issues that may need to be addressed. He’s also willing to answer questions. At the end of the process, you feel exceptionally well informed to make decisions about your property. If ever we require a home inspection again, you can be sure we will ask for Dave.

One of the most common questions we get from our customers is: What exactly is included in a home inspection.
That is a tricky question to answer because it varies from home to home, and by the type of inspection. However, when we provide a general home inspection, we usually do just that. Give you a general, but thorough overview of a home. We have recently created this informational video that gives you a brief summary of the different sections included in a home inspection, in the most basic scenario. We have a great video and overview you can check out in this article on What’s Included in a Home Inspection.
Buying a house is a big investment and because of that, we need to make sure we get your home inspection right. But a house has many different facets, so we break down our inspections into an organized home inspection checklist. No matter what type of house, how old it is, or where it is built, our inspectors follow a specific procedure in order to be extremely thorough and maximize the time spent at the inspection.
At Scott Home Inspection, we use a mobile inspection software on site that contains this checklist and we add our findings under each category. As you can see in the graphic above, the sum of all these categories should cover every piece of an average home. There are a few less common sections that are not part of the graphic, but we wanted to be as general as possible. Let’s take a deeper look into each piece. Check out our Infographic on the Home Inspection Checklist.
